Today I made transformer out of iron sand and gypsum

Why learning electromagnetism I wanted to experiment a various shapes of transformer cores. However it was difficult to find cheap transformer core. Therefore I decided to make it by myself using iron scent and cast gypsum.

I used cardboard box as a frame and mixed iron sand and Gibson together and poured into it. 

Maybe it looks not so nice but however I think it will do its job.

It can attract magnet, so I think it can be magnetized by coil too.
